How to handle mouse hover actions using Actions in Selenium?
In this tutorial we will learn about how to handle mouse hover actions using Actions in Selenium?
Mouse hover action is an action where a user places the mouse cursor on the target link or button which causes some event to get triggered.
Mouse hover action is basically performed to access sub-menu/sub lists items.
Let’s take an example.
In the above screenshot above, “SQL tutorials” is a parent element and once we mouse hovers over it, a sub-menu with child elements renders.
So in the above example ,the webdriver needs to locate the parent element first, then locate and click on any target child element.
Scenario– We will perform below set of action by using mouse hover actions
-
- locate the main menu or parent element
- Locate the target element or element from sub-menu
- Click on child element
